I took a part of a seminar, the manners of Japanese cuisine for which you can brush up yourself” at a famous traditional Japanese restaurant “KIKUNOI” in Kyoto. One of the reason was the thanks to the president of KIKUNOI who did lecture about “WASHOKU World Heritage” and gave me a great courage. And other was the reward to my fashion show.
The speaker of manners who was a teacher of tea ceremony courteously gave us how to be refined. We really enjoyed ourselves introductions for the importance of the only chance in our lives. I introduced my jacket, my works and actions with humor. After the joyful lunch for 3 hours, I took a walk around the restaurant before light-up show in KODAI temple. I enjoyed a Japanese sweet and shopping some Japanese apricot drinks for my home party.
Recently KIMONO rental service has been increased for Japanese as well as foreign visitors. I met across a group of American women wearing KIMONO and asked them, “How do you feel to wear KIMONO ?” They answered, “It is so complicated !” “But I am very happy to wear how beautiful clothes is ! Incredible !!! ” Their KIMONO was not pure silk but very cheap polyester 100%. The KIKUNOI president told us that the first of all was to be broad views even though it was an imitation. The next step was to concentrate what was a genuine. This remains me how to make a big business.
Also I met across a Japanese group wearing gorgeous MAIKO KIMONO. I longed for the days of my youth. The expense was very high at that time, but the present expense is one third. They were so happy to be like an actress.
The light-up show was so crowded and the information for foreign tourists were not enough. They could not understand Japanese at all. “Where is the entrance for the light-up show?” I am an obliging person to help them but Kyoto should settle these subjects before 2020 Tokyo Olympic.
I took a day off and relaxed for satisfaction the five senses in Kyoto after a long absence. This is a great reward !!!
