“Disvoery is one of creation !” Mr. Takahiro Shima, the director of DAS Designers Association made a speech in Ms. Chizu Jyuso’s publish memorial party.
This album of “Invitationcard” is a hommage to the fashion industry which had continuously given a lots of dreams. It is a condensed art works of creator. People in the industry knew that it was too difficult to get the invitation cards for Paris/Milano collections. But no one kept these cards. She decided that these invitation cards should be shown to the public when she found them in a paper box at home. This became one of the creation.
I agree with her decision because my work is also “digging out” of Japanese industrial art. I feel unbearable not to be shown, as keeping in closet, therefore remake to present styled clothes from the pure silk KIMONO. This is also respect to the artificial KIMONO ! My jacket remade from black HAORI-KIMONO with flower motives.
The term of real invitation cards display is postponed to April 13th at TUTAYA book store in Umeda Osaka. The T-shirt designed by designer Unsetsu Furukawa is also now on sale. You can also buy the book at amazon from 1st April.
There were over 100 soldiers who had fought out in the fashion trade, surrounding with congratulatory addresses and beautiful flowers.
Cherry blossoms are in full bloom earlier than as usual, my sweet blossoms on KIMONO come out to my heart beats in the atelier.
