On the Kyoto Gion festival, I jointed the Obiage workshop in ITOKO which is an old famous kimono fabric company. First of all, I selected a pattern and a base color and then chose some colors of each flower motif. The instructor showed how to drop colors and I started to do by myself. I tried three-dimensional expression, but it was not so easy for beginners to use a flat brush on the small part. After the dropping colors on all motives, the base color was dyed by the instructor and sent to me within one month. Many tourists from Tokyo also enjoyed to make only one in the world. My color combination was matched to my face skin color as long stole instead of Obiage belt. The pure silk long stole is excellent finishing as my first work, as some mistakes are not conspicuous. “BRAVO!!!” I am really satisfied.
