The word “career woman” is already old ? Last week, I attended two events, women general meeting of Osaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Women In Business Summit 2016 by American Chamber of Commerce in Kansai Chapter. I noticed each concept was shown onto their clothes.

The Osaka one stressed to “unify” the members by wearing a same white uniform jacket, on the other hand, the American one emphasized “Individual & Diversity” with free clothes.

The Summit was from welcome greeting, presentations, some sessions, to reception party at THE RITS-CARLTON OSAKA. The strong speakers have encouraged and moved us well.

And the gift by an artist for guest speakers and sponsors was a printed work “MAIKO girl”. My decision was good that I had declined the offer which was my works as a donation. It took time and money.

I would ask the international career women who are kind of “diplomat” to put on remade Kimono clothes. Their main clothes was a jacket and one-piece dress. I recommend a remade Kimono jacket and pant like the photo. I have now understood “something elegantly sexy” is needed.

My passion is reborn now !

 

  

“Change of Bridal in Osaka”exhibition was so amazing !   From Edo-period before the world-war 2, the bridal custom by wealthy merchants in Osaka had shown the culture and art to the audience including foreign visitors who put on rental Kimono.

The Osaka town in Edo-period is reappeared inside a modern building. There are some old shops on the street which display eye-catching art works such as OBI treasure boat by Kimono shop, cocks by hair accessory shop, HOTEI Buddha by woody instruments of Buddhist altar fittings shop. This scene is for the summer festival TENJIN-MATSURI. On other floor, some reduced buildings, parks, and towns are shown by well-done investigation.

The exhibition of bridal has explained that the bride’s outfit was a distribution of property. Therefore she brought all necessities such as Kimono, jewel, furniture during her all life. These goods were  Japanese craft works by workmen. This custom had still existed until almost 40 years ago. In our generation, parents had bought many Kimonos for their daughters, but we haven’t worn the Kimonos and have kept them in “Treasure closet”. Now the Kimonos go to a garbage. Kimono fabric is an authentic pure silk and the some techniques are not recreated any more. I am very proud of Japanese traditional Kimono fabrics.  Never throw it away !

I keep going to remake from Kimono and share the amazing of kimono fabric. Genuine is still genuine after changing the shape.

May 7^th was a new moon of Taurus and the energy was filled for 3 days. I had heard of this on 8^th of May. I have already challenged to my weak work. It was mechanical work using a new single-lens reflex camera which was bought in a hurry two years ago before increasing consumption tax. First, I read the explanatory book and charged the battery for 3 hours. I noticed not to take a photo soon !

In my atelier displaying a fresh green color kimono with SHIBORI and hand embroidery, I created a design for remade cloths during the charging battery. The solid kimono was bought by the bright pink color and the gorgeous jacquard. The white laces were ready as design accent.

What’s type of the woman ?  How is her TPO ?  It must be wearable as a unit.!  Tops is a jacket ?  Jacket is too tight ?  Blouse is better ?  It should be looked like a dress ? This creation time is amazing and cool ! The remade cloths need to have capacity on size. As Kimono fabric is limited the width and length, my work is similar to a jigsaw puzzle. It is a good training to my brain !

The design is not decided yet, but I will show you a photo taking by the new single-lens reflex camera.

I joined the monthly ceremony of IKUTAMA Shrine on 1^st May. Tango-no-Sekku is a celebration for children by display fabric carps called KOI-NOBORI.  My mind was quenched by the fine blue sky and fresh green leaves and comfortable breeze in the garden. This place is an oasis in the city. What a nice place it is !

A jacket remade from HAORI kimono has just arrived to my atelier. The motif is called “SEIKAIHA” (blue sea wave) like fish scale. The motif layout was special and needed time to cut out each patterns. The jacket is gorgeous and shows strong power !  It was needed something hard and soft details on collar/sleeve/pocket/lining. This is my style with sharpness and gentleness together.

The blue ground color/mustard wave color/yellow solid color dyed in silk fibers — How refined and noble !  It is impossible for workman to dye these excellent colors except long careered artisan. We are proud of “Japanese Tradition”. Enjoy this !

Kumamoto earthquake had occurred at 9:26 pm on 14^th April. We had just finished the meeting about my website on 50 inches TV, and the screen showed a news of Kumamoto earthquake. The shake did let us know “something serious”, and my friend who experienced Hanshin Mega Earthquake remembered the terrible time. It is to be regretted from deep mind that there are many sufferers. I would do my best.

The above photos are papers for my presentation as an artist. As my origin is Japanese and my works stand in western style, it is a “cool” mixture. The last presentation was fine and the impression was “I was so moved and it was still existed !” But my friends advised some points and I will improve later.

The renewal website will be suitable to smart phone mainly and the video will be added one more. I have just asked to make 2 original BGM. According to google analysis, it is 1600 audiences since 200 days, Japanese 65% share . I improve them through the analysis. If you have any comments, please contact me on last page. We lived in “frequent earthquake” Japan cannot see an inch ahead. I would live without regret every day. You can find “the way of Kiyomi Kitagawa’s life” through my website and presentation. My parents in heaven left each way of life as message. I really appreciated to them !

I felt the difference of strolling play and present popular play. The play by stroller in ancient Edo era had a sad image but nowadays it is very bright and humorous. What an anachronism !

I visited on the last day the live show of Miyako Wakamaru company whose leader is 36 years old and most of them are 20’s years old. The comic play was convulsed with laughter and Japanese dances were bewitching beauty as grabbing the audience mind. It took over 3 hours but did let us feel shorter because the actors and audience became together. Almost of the audience were ardent fan and some of them gave the money to the actors on every dance. Such a big deal !!!

The leader and sub-leader acted man and woman very skillfully and got much tips. My next sheet said that she would give much money to them if she had won a public lottery. Never forget to buy lottery first.

The costumes except classic kimono style made by synthetic fiber were easier to dance heavily. My black jacket with red accent remade from authentic pure silk kimono can also act easily,  but I don’t dance at all !

The entrance fee was only $20. I will come again !!!

I had seen an artist named Ms. Syoko Takao who is a president of OBI and Kimono maker “Masuya Takao” in Kyoto where is very famous for traditional Japanese craftwork. Her coordination of kimono and obi was refined as my pictures. Her personality was very cozy.  They were mixed up and given “charming” to the audience.  I feel sympathy to her father’s thought “the works is given happiness to the audience and excitement by touching it, and feel cheerful by putting on” on their website. I have noticed the same feeling when I see the kimono display in my atelier and let old kimono rebirth to kimono dress.  And his affection to works is “convinced  genuine”.

I finally conclude that the audience is not bored to see “something genuine” for long time. For example the kimono display in my room, my rebirth kimono dress on a mannequin.  And they also have “something tasty”. Since ancient period, Japanese people have loved nature of four seasons and expressed the beauty on kimono fabrics. The kimono fabrics makes people calm and happy and is plainly “a treasure of Japan”.

I would expand my rebirth kimono dress more closed than original kimono to overseas by the continuous activity for becoming “a treasure of world”, finally world peace !

We celebrate “HINA-MATSURI” on 3^rd March for girls to desire happier marriage displaying “HINA” ancient Kimono dolls. The executive producer who has produced TV program “Asa ga kita” (Morning has come, the heroine named Asa has come.) told the device to get popular. The theme is “husband and wife” ”sisters” ”spirit of servant” He emphasized to change the weak points into strong points by some devices. One of them was to show the beautiful KIMONO which has given genetic happiness to Japanese people. Thank you so much for that, same as my desire ! If he had met my works before, my KIMONO DRESS would have given happier feeling to the audience.

My friend said that I resembled to Ms.Hirooka Asako who was the model of drama on a KIMONO portrait. I hope the common point is that we act whatever we want. What a great woman with strong spirit she was on her western style portrait !  I put a remade pink jacket from KIMONO for spring when I visited her exhibition.

How has been changed the present for St. Valentine here ? I had usually researched what was the best chocolate and spent a lot of money for it. But I change my mind that chocolate is not good for health and stop to buy it this year. My judgement for quality of life is something good health.

I visited a restaurant “Japanese French, TAMAKI” in Kyoto on 12^th February. The dinner was called “Marriage of French and olive oil” in order to appeal how olive oil is healthy by An’s Table owner. The 12 guests were tasting it and enjoyed the cuisine very well. Each guest who were 80-44 years old men and women lively did self-introduction. We were not ordinary but had mentally refined personalities. All of us shared each talking with interest. On my speech about my story, the audience were listening and requesting to continue. We noticed this opportunity was not accidently but necessarily !

My rebirth jacket and dress for St. Valentine coordination was conspicuous and gorgeous ?

We celebrate a prayer against evils on February 3^rd with special food and scattering soybeans in order to escape from misfortune and get happiness. It has recently became an economical event like Choco sweets for St..Valentine’s Day. Generally, people pray on several times but I have requested the prayer at the shrine every year.

Usually, the 60 years anniversary is a big celebration and we present “something red (Yakuyoke Color)” to the 60’s old person. I sent a preserved red rose arrangement in white photo flame to my friend. It remains me the time when my birthday was celebrated with 60pcs of red roses at my dinner show.

It became a happiest memories. If I am 90’s old, I may say, “I was still a young girl at that time…”
